Hero MotoCorp has officially named its collectors-edition bike ‘The Centennia’. It is being made to pay tribute to its founder-chairman, Dr. Brijmohan Lall Munjal, on his 101st birth anniversary. The bike was first showcased at the Hero World event in January this year. The Centennial was conceptualized, designed, and developed at the Hero Centre for Innovation and Technology (CIT) in India and the Hero Tech Centre in Germany (TCG).

The Centennial features carbon fibre bodywork, a milled aluminium swingarm, along with a machined and anodized handlebar, a handlebar mount, a triple clamp, and footpegs. It has a solo-seat configuration and weighs just 158kgs, making it around 5.5kgs less than the stock Karizma XMR. Also, in order to increase performance, the brand has put out a carbon fibre and titanium exhaust system from Akrapovic. It features a 43mm inverted fork with adjustable damping and a fully adjustable Wilbers gas-charged monoshock suspension. The bike's engine and frame are coloured, and it features diamond-cut alloy wheels to enhance its aesthetic appeal.

The Centennial is limited to just 100 units and will be auctioned only to its employees, associates, business partners, and stakeholders. However,  with the ‘My Hero,My Story’ campaign, enthusiastic consumers can share their unique experiences and the distinguished panel will judge and reward them with the bike. The amount raised through the auction of the bike will be used for society's welfare.
