So what’s new in the 2019 Maserati Quattroporte diesel?
While the exterior design and styling remains the same on the Quattroporte, Maserati has made subtle change on the inside. There’s a redesigned gearshift lever and the company says it features a more intuitive shift pattern, short travel and improved operation. There’s also the option to use the eight-speed ZF gearbox in automatic or manual mode by shifting the lever from right to left. The infotainment system is upgraded with fresh display graphics and improved climate control system ergonomics.

For the first time, Maserati has introduced full-grain Pieno Fiore leather, which is available as an option in Quattroporte. It’s offered in three colours with specific stitching on the seats and double stitching on the door panels. Maserati also offers two brand new high-gloss interior veneers for the Quattroporte.
What powers the Maserati Quattroporte diesel?
The Quattroporte is powered by a 2987cc V6 diesel engine that makes 271bhp. All the power is channelled to the rear wheels via an eight speed ZF gearbox as mentioned earlier. Also, it has a top whack of 252kmph and spurs from standstill to a ton in just 6.4 seconds. For enthusiasts craving more power, there’s also a GTS version on offer in India. It’s a sportier version with larger rims and a much more powerful engine. The 3799cc V8 makes 523bhp and accelerates from 0-100kmph in just 4.7 seconds.
