Round 3 of the Indian National Racing Championship 2024 kicked off with a thrilling start as the qualifying sessions began on Friday, August 2. The spotlight was on TVS Racing’s young prodigies, Sarthak Chavan and Chiranth Vishwanath, who dominated the Pro-Stock classes by securing pole positions. Both have set high expectations for the weekend’s races. At the same time, the Stock classes continued to see domination from the top performers.

Starting with the Pro-Stock classes, TVS Racing’s young racers shone through with Sarthak Chavan and Chiranth Vishwanath grabbing poles. Chavan took the 301-400cc pole with a time of 01:48.373 while Chiranth Vishwanath followed with a 01:48.477. In reverse, Vishwanath led the 165cc class with Chavan behind. Both were closely matched in their timings and should make for intense races in the next two days.

Chennai's Ann Jennifer, qualified for pole in the Girls (Stock 165cc) class.

Similar to Round 2, in the Girls’ (Stock 165cc) class, it was Ann Jennifer (Alpha Racing India) who took pole, while Abdul Basim (Rockers Racing) took the Novice (Stock 165cc) pole and Kaushik Subbaiah Ganesan (RACR Castrol Power1 Ultimate) grabbed pole in the (Stock 301-400cc) Novice class. Last time Ann Jennifer wasn’t able to convert the pole into a win so it will be interesting to see how the next races pan out.

In the Idemitsu Honda India Talent Cup (NSF 250R), Malappuram’s Mohsin Paramban took pole position with Senthilkumar from Coimbatore (RR310 Open) and Pune’s Saimah Ajaz Baig (Girls, RTR 200) grabbing poles in the TVS One-Make Championship. The qualifying rounds are remaining for RTR 200 Rookie and the new Electric RTE class in the TVS One-Make Championship and will be taking place on Saturday.

As the qualifiers wrap up and the racers prepare for the main events, the excitement is at its peak. The consistent top performers, along with emerging new talents, promise an exhilarating weekend of racing.
