Yash Aradhya to race for SuperSpeed Chennai in the X1 Racing League

Bangalore’s Yash Aradhya has been selected to race for Narain Karthikeyan’s SuperSpeed Chennai team in the upcoming X1 Racing League. The inaugural race weekend is scheduled for November 30 and December 1 at the Buddh International Circuit while the second is on December 7 and 8 at the Madras Motor Race Track near Chennai.

The Fastest Indian, Narain Karthikeyan is the franchise owner of the SuperSpeed Chennai team. Selected to drive for the team are national racing champion Arjun Balu and Yash Aradhya from the available pool of domestic drivers. Frankie Cheng from China will be their International male driver and Alice Powell from the UK will complete the line-up as the team's International lady driver.

Bangalore boy Yash Aradhya will be the youngest in the series at just 17 years of age, where he will get to rub shoulders with the ever more experienced drivers.

“It came as a wonderful surprise to me when I was selected by Narain. I am deeply honoured to be part of SuperSpeed Chennai. It will be a great learning experience for me, under the guidance of India’s first Formula 1 racer Narain Karthikeyan. I am excited to be able to learn from the best racing driver our country has ever produced. This is truly a great opportunity for me and I intend to work my hardest to repay the faith and trust that has been placed in me.” Said Yash Aradhya

Speaking on this occasion Narain said, “I am excited with the line-up of drivers we have selected for our team, SuperSpeed Chennai in the inaugural X1 Racing League. I am happy to support young upcoming talent from our country and that’s why we have selected Yash Aradhya.”
