We would all love to be a racing driver someday, and now you can get one step closer to becoming Sebastian Buemi. Casio has teamed up with Nissan’s motorsport division, NISMO, to create a special edition of their motorsport-themed Edifice brand that celebrates Nissan’s great racing history, as well as its current motorsport glories. The Casio Edifice NISMO Limited Edition EQS-930NIS is a nod to the countless achievements that the Japanese carmaker has clocked up over the years, with a special emphasis on its current identity.
Casio’s Edifice brand has supported NISMO in its racing activities since 2012, being a crucial partner knowing how important timing and data analysis is to racing outfits. The Edifice NISMO Limited Edition EQS-930NIS features the traditional NISMO racing colour of red and black, with their traditional race number 23, which is also used by Sebastian Buemi who drives the Nissan Formula E car, being prominently displayed at the 23-minute position. The watch strap, case and front bezel all proclaim the NISMO banner. In more nods to motorsport, the watch band has the texture of a car tyre after finishing a race, complete with marbling and signs of use. To add to the aura, the inset dial at the 10 o’clock position features a metallic effect similar in style to how a race-used titanium exhaust looks, with all its bluish effervescence. In terms of technology, the Edifice NISMO limited edition has the usual solar-charging system and stopwatch functions along with smartphone connectivity.
The new Edifice NISMO Limited Edition EQS-930NIS is now available for booking from Casio’s online shop, and has been priced at ₹27,995. To book one for yourself, visit the Casio India shop here. Small price to pay for a lifetime of being that much closer to your own racing dreams, we’d say.
