Trek Bicycle has launched two performance road-bikes, Émonda ALR 4 and ALR 5 at Rs 1,06,199 and Rs 1,24,299 respectively. The Émonda ALR range is targeted at pro cyclists and enthusiasts. Designed to be a climbing bike, the ALR 4 and ALR 5 are adapted for cycling in urban settings as well as uphill and downhill terrains. Built using the company’s patented 300 Series Alpha Aluminum, the cycles’ frame tip the scales at 1.12 kg which also makes them ideal for races and club rides. These cycles come with ‘H2’ fit which is an optimal fit for most riders for performance.
Features of the Émonda ALR 4 include full Shimano groupset, 20 speeds, and a carbon fork. The cycles feature the company’s “Invisible Weld Technology” which increases the surface area of the frame, resulting in more rigidity and keeping the weight down. The bikes also come with a Blendr-compatible stem for easy installation of your gear.
Talking about the introduction of the new road bikes, Navneet Banka, country manager, Trek Bicycle India said, “Émonda ALR is a great-looking bike at a great price. It shares the geometry of our highest-end carbon Émonda racing bikes, and it gives cyclists a ride quality that stands up in every way to far more expensive carbon bikes. We have witnessed an uptake of quality bikes in the India market. Going forward we will bring newer models to supplement the increasing demand.”
