The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV has been launched in India at ₹1.28 crore (ex-showroom). It is the five-seater variant of the EQS SUV, and gets the same 122kWh battery pack as the EQS 580, with more range. All the features inside the cabin are carried over to the EQS 450 SUV.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV gets the Electric Art Line package, unlike the EQS 580 which gets the AMG line styling with the aggressive bumpers. It rides on 21-inch wheels, with a different design than the ones on the EQS 580 SUV. The wheelbase is the same as the EQS 580 SUV – 3200mm, and because of the five-seater configuration, you get a generous bootspace. The interior has been carried over from the EQE and the EQS SUV – 56-inch MBUX Hyperscreen layout with a 12.3-inch instrument cluster, 17.7-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 12.3-inch front passenger display. Sound is delivered by a 710W 15-speaker Burmester sound system. 

Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV powertrain

The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV gets a 122kWh battery pack, same as the EQS 580 SUV, but you get more range here. It gets an 820km WLTP claimed range, whereas the EQS 580 SUV gets a 809km WLTP claimed range. Dual-motor setup in the EQS 450 SUV pushes out 356bhp and 800Nm. 0 to 100kmph comes up in 6.1 seconds, for reference, the EQS 580 SUV takes only 4.7 seconds to reach 100kmph from a standstill.

The Mercedes-Benz EQS 450 SUV is priced at ₹1.28 crore (ex-showroom), and is ₹13 lakh more affordable than the EQS 580 SUV. Furthermore, the EQS 580 SUV is sold out till April 2025, and deliveries for the EQS 450 SUV will begin in February, 2025. The EQS 450 SUV also rivals the BMW iX priced at ₹1.39 crore, and the Audi Q8 e-tron priced at ₹1.2 crore.
