UM Motorcycles opens its first dealership in Kerala
The Indian arm for the American motorcycle manufacturers UM Motorcycles, has opened their first dealership in Kerala. Located in Cochin, the dealership showcases their flagship motorcycles, the Renegade Commando and the Renegade Sports S.
Based out of 36/2446B, Brahmasthanam, N.H-17, Edappally North, the 2200sq ft dealership offers the line-up with UM motorcycles has to offer and also provides the customers with after-sales services. Apart from these services UM has also introduced a 24×7 roadside assistance programme all across Kerala.
At the opening Rajeev Mishra, CEO UML stated “We are delighted to open our first dealership in the state of Kerala. This is the first of numerous dealerships we plan to open in this region. The opening of this dealership is in line with our road map to have of a pan India presence by the end of 2017.We are confident that we shall get a good response from motorcycle enthusiasts in Cochin and surrounding areas.”
The motorcycles that UM offer are the Renegade Commando which is retro styled highway cruiser which is powered by a 280cc liquid cooled engine which makes 25bhp and 21.8Nm of torque and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The other bike that UM has to offer is the Renegade Sports S which is more of a sportier version of the Commando, though the bike shares the same engine as the Commando and has the same power output. Prices for the UM motorcycles are Rs 1.74 lakh for the Renegade Commando and Rs 1.68 lakh for the Renegade Sports S (ex-showroom Cochin).
This is the first dealership of UM motorcycles in Kerala and their 13th dealership all across the country. With the opening of this dealership UM hopes to improve their dealership network and tap in to the southern region of the country.
