The #MumbaiRains has been trending on Twitter for a few days now. In fact, the rain gods have been generous towards Maharashtra and Goa as well. We hadn’t encountered rains throughout our South Indian leg but that’s not the case here. And that gave us very few opportunities to click the Renault Kwids. But that didn’t take away much from allowing us to shoot in the beautiful locales of Goa.

Goa is the ultimate destination for every Indian traveller but thankfully not during this time of the year. The streets are empty and the only thing that crowds the place is the construction work of the upcoming Mandovi Bridge. We managed to stay put at Panjim and explores the streets of Miramar while also taking a long road to Aldona in search of the heritage churches. In fact, when you look away from the regular tourists attractions such as Calangute and Vagator, there’s so much more to Goa! But before the final leg begins, we are heading to Pune and that insured a rushing drive back home. Everybody is looking forward to resting tomorrow and that includes the Renault Kwids. The hatchbacks have been through a lot in the past six days. Before we begin our journey towards Gujarat (27th state), we will be taking a long nap. Especially after the maddening Amboli ghat section today. Heavy rains equate to dense fog and the visibility was hardly up to a few metres ahead. Combine that with unpredictable traffic, and you’re in for a night mare. The drivers did have their share of fun tackling the twisties but the bad conditions of the road put the passengers through a lot of agony. Although, the Kwid’s brilliant ride and handling setup helped the matters to a large extent.

The team will be heading to Pune Station for a Robin Hood Army Drive today at 6PM. So if you’re reading this, why not tag along and do your bit for the society?
