Volkswagen has conducted a skill development programme ‘Sarvottam’ for dealership employees across India. The skill development programme was conducted to inspire and boost employees to shine in their respective areas of work.

The competition saw 2700 employees from Volkswagen dealerships across India selected from various categories like service advisors, parts managers, technicians, customer care employees and shop floor technicians participate in the programme. As the competition progressed, only 54 participants made it to the grand finale which was held at the Volkswagen training academy in Chakan, Pune, out of which 18 winners were selected by Steffen Knapp, director of Volkswagen India at a conference in Mumbai. All the participants were subjected to tough sessions as per their skillset to develop service quality and improve customer satisfaction.

Speaking on the occasion after awarding the victors, Steffen knapp said, “We at Volkswagen do everything we can to inspire our dealership personnel across India with our best practices from across the globe. This is because we believe that a satisfied employee is the key to making Volkswagen the preferred brand in India. Our Sarvottam skill contest sets us firmly on that path and this is the fourth consecutive year that Volkswagen has held a national competition for its partners who aims to improve service quality among its network and further enhance customer satisfaction.”
