Scooter lovers and fashionistas will have another lifestyle product to choose from with the launch of the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani version and the 70th anniversary edition Vespa in India on 25th October, 2016. The design of the scooter goes back to the 1946 Vespa which can be seen in the vintage silhoutte.
At heart, it will be powered by a 125cc, 4-stroke 3V engine with electronic injection. The italian marque has beautifully amalgamated the vintage italian design with modern features by packing in features like projector headlamps, ASR Traction control, two-channel ABS, 220 mm double disc brakes, 12-inch wheels and a LCD display as well.
Initially the 946 will be introduced as a CBU. It was first showcased in 2016 Auto Expo, Delhi which proved to be a head turner then, in the Piaggio pavilion.
When it comes to pricing, the Vespa 946 Emporio Armani will be the costliest amongst the scooters in the country. The 946 is expected to join its siblings at the Motorplex dealerships across India which also takes care of the sales of the company’s other brands, Aprilia and Moto Guzzi.
