Triumph revealed the new Bonneville Bobber which is based on their latest Bonneville T120. The Bobber is an old-school technique of customising bikes in the US using British engines such like a Triumph. Taking inspiration from this, Triumph has launched their own version.
The bike will be powered by a 1200cc engine which produces 80bhp and 105Nm of torque mated to a 6-speed gearbox. The same engine that the T120 comes with. True to its roots, the Bobber has a single seat and low and flat handlebars and a new stance. Under the retro look and feel, its a completely modern bike with ABS and a switchable traction control. The bike also has a ride-by-wire throttle and Rain and Road riding modes.
The Bobber is incorporated with an all-new chassis, suspension, frame and a new exhaust system which is shorter and lighter than the T120. The first-in-the-class adjustable riding position and custom tube-type Avon Cobra tyres add to the stance. Triumph will also offer customers up to 150 different ways to customise their motorcycle.
Triumph at present hasn’t hinted on when the Bobber will be launched in India but when it does it will be placed between the T100 and the T120 and will compete with the likes of the Harley 48 and the Harley iron 883.
