Toyota Kirloskar has launched a petrol-powered variant of Innova Crysta in the wake of the controversial diesel ban in Delhi, at a starting price of Rs 13.7 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi).
The ever popular MUV has been selling in huge numbers and is among the top-ten highest selling cars in the country now. The petrol variant is expected to take the numbers even higher, since it will be available for sale in the high volume Delhi NCR region. The all-new 2.7-litre VVTi petrol engine makes 164bhp of power and 245Nm of torque and can be had in either 5-speed manual or 6-speed auto transmission variants.
Sharing his thoughts on Toyota’s new offering, Mr. N. Raja, Director &Senior Vice President (Sales & Marketing), Toyota Kirloskar Motor Pvt. Ltd added at the event, “The recently launched Innova Crysta has received an overwhelming response from the market. We are very thankful to our customers who have helped us realize this dream. We have already sold more than 24,000 units in a short span of two months and have a pending order of over 9,000 units for the Innova Crysta. This for us reiterates the success of the product.”
Talking about the safety features, all the variants get 3 airbags, ABS+EBD and height-adjustable seatbelts as standard, while the top of the line variants get 7 airbags, hill assist and vehicle stability control. Creature comforts include a 4.2-inch TFT touchscreen, 8-way adjustable driver seat, automatic LED headlamps, rear AC vents and one-touch foldable rear sets.
The manual variants include GX and VX and start at a price tag of Rs 13.7 lakh while the automatic variants include the GX and ZX, topping up at Rs 19.6 lakh. The deliveries are expected to begin from today.
