The Indian Scout Sixty, which was launched in May was showcased in Mumbai today.
The baby Scout shares its underpinnings with the Scout except the revised 999cc (60 cu in) engine. While the 1131cc Scout churns out 99bhp and 97.7Nm the Scout Sixty makes a moderate 78bhp and 88Nm of torque, mated to a five speed transmission.
Commenting at the event, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India Pvt. The introduction in Mumbai market will help us grow in terms of volumes in the fast growing luxury commuter category.”
The Scout Sixty can be customised as per the rider’s liking and has 200 accessories on offer such as seats, handlebars, saddle bags, foot peg relocaters, windscreens, wired wheels etc. The American cruiser is available in three colours namely, Thunder Black, Indian Motorcycle Red and Pearl White. It is the cheapest Indian motorcycle in the country at Rs 11.99 lakh, cheaper than the Scout by Rs 88,000.
