When a company tells you that it will be selling only nine units of a brand new product, you sit up and think if someone’s lost his wits. But when MV Agusta says that it has decided to bring to India nine of the 250 famed F3 RC, RC signifying Reparto Corse (MV speak for racing version), which it will sell around the globe, you know it’s something really special. Yes, the Italian legend introduced the bike recently at the inauguration of the company’s showroom in Bengaluru, priced at Rs 19.73lakh, ex-showroom, Pune.

Now, there are two versions of the F3 RC available globally, but we will only get the F3 800 RC, which is powered by the larger 798cc inline 3-cylinder engine making 148bhp and 88Nm of peak torque, which propel the bike to a top speed of 269kmph. The one that’s not coming is the F3 675 RC, which gets a 675 cc (obviously) and less power and torque (of course). Back to the F3 800 RC, the bike gets eight levels of traction control and four engine modes. Just select whichever setting that you’re most comfy with and you’re good to go.

Of course these are great stuff to have but what makes this AMG branded version of the bike really special is that each of the nine motorcycles are autographed by MV Agusta’s Supersport racers Jules Cluzel and Lorenzo Zanetti and carry a unique ID plaque with their respective limited edition serial numbers. Needless to say that the bike gets things like a custom MV Agusta racing livery, special red trimmed RC rims and twin race replica exhausts. The F3 800 RC will be sold along with the superbikes by MV such as the F4, F3 and Brutale 1090.

In other MV Agusta news, the company also inaugurated its first showroom in Bengaluru, taking the total number of showrooms from two to three. The other two showrooms are in Pune and Ahmedabad. MV Agusta has plans to inaugurate more showrooms across the country as the year progresses with Mumbai, Chennai and Delhi being in the pipeline.
