MRF launches a riding community

MRF has launched a riding community called Ride Along with MRF in 9 cities namely Mumbai, Delhi, Kolkata, Pune, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Nagpur and Dharamshala.

Generally, bike manufacturers such as Royal Enfield, Harley-Davidson and Ducati have taken the initiative to start riding clubs. MRF intends to change the scenario by the launch of their own club, which would be accessible to anyone with a two-wheeler.

The fan-run portal allows members to have access to exclusive ride ideas, travelogues and meet & greet events. Several expert riders have been chosen by MRF who will not only share biking ideas but guide the members through their initial rides. They will host rides on weekends which can be joined by enthusiasts across the country. All rides will have a specific theme such a foodie ride or a thrill ride, for example. There will also be a monthly ‘Ride for a Cause’ event which would promote a social cause or create awareness about the cause.

Speaking about the initiative, Mr. Koshy Varghese, Executive Vice President – Marketing, MRF Tyres added, “Most biking communities in India are for hard-core bikers. They are either started by bike brands or a set of enthusiastic riders of a particular kind of bike. Our vision is to get every bike owner in India to explore India on two-wheels. All they need is a passion for riding. So we have created a platform that helps organize and plan weekend trips that anyone can do. We want three or four friends with bikes to simply set out on rides, armed with information, support and fun ideas while being fully prepared and safe. And above all, we want to create ride stories for everyone to remember and share with their friends and family “
