Mahindra launches the updated Scorpio

Mahindra has launched the face-lifted Scorpio with a starting price tag of Rs 9.97 lakh, ex-showroom, Delhi for the S3 trim. The engine is retuned for more power and there are minor cosmetic changes as well, along with the addition of S11 variant. The 138bhp variant is only available in the S7, S11 and S11 (AWD).

The new Scorpio is powered by the same 2.2-litre mHawk 4 cylinder CRDi engine but now makes 138bhp and 320Nm of torque, a bump of 20bhp and 40Nm from the earlier model. The new 6-speed manual gearbox too makes it to the 138bhp variants. The top-of-the-line S11 trim also gets LED headlamps with integrated DRLs and front fog lamps, static bending headlamps, 6-inch infotainment screen, GPS, reverse parking assist and optional shift on fly 4WD. It also gets the temperature control, audio controls and cruise control switches mounted on the steering wheel. A speed alert feature comes new in the S11 trim, along with the regular safety features like dual front airbags, ABS, panic brake indication, engine immobilizer, collapsible steering column and side intrusion beams.The S7 trim (138bhp) gets projector headlamps, ABS, 2-DIN audio system, park assist and voice assist system.
