Tata Motors took wraps of its brand new E-Vision concept electric sedan at the 2018 Geneva Motor Show. While the E-Vision is still very much in its concept phase, it clearly shows the direction Tata Motors is headed to as an automotive company, which is clearly a good one. The sedan features the Impact Design 2.0 language whose bold and sculpted lines give the sedan a wide and elegant silhouette. Up front, the E-Vision looks sharp with the slim LED headlights and the signature Tata humanity line.
The E-Vision concept is built on the OMEGA EV Architecture and is powered by an electric drivetrain. The company has claimed that 0-100kmph will be under 7 seconds and a top speed of 200kmph would be achievable. The e-sedan has the options of both, fast (DC) and slow (AC) charging.
Shown at this year’s Indian Auto Expo, the stunning H5X SUV concept made it to European shores at the Geneva motor show too. The concept is a 5-seater premium SUV developed on Tata’s OMEGA Architecture , in collaboration with Jaguar Land Rover. The concept is long yet has a squat stance. It gets huge 22-inch wheels and giant wheel arches upping the overall look. The SUV’s face is characterised by slim LED headlights, and there’s also a new, more distinct interpretation of Tata’s trademark ‘humanity line’ that connects the headlights and grille.
Alongside the SUV was the 45X concept which also had a global debut last month at the Expo.
