Mercedes Benz has finally brought the C-Class crossover – the GLC to India. The GLC is an international replacement for the aged GLK class and makes its India debut at the Expo.

A 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine propels the car via the means of Mercedes’ nine-speed automatic transmission. The 370Nm of torque is split 45/55 (front/rear) as it is equipped with 4Matic. The GLC has nine airbags, including a driver’s-knee airbag, and further precaution is taken care by a weight mat, not a transponder, to deactivate the front passenger seat airbag when a child seat is installed.

They have also taken the covers off the S-Cabriolet. Available only in the S500 trim, the cabriolet is a soft-top version of the S-Coupe. It retains the 4.7-litre twin turbo V8 with 455PS and 700Nm. 0-100kmph takes less than 5s and top speed is limited to 250kmph. A 9-speed automatic is standard.
