Audi unveiled the RS 5 Coupé, RS 3 Sportback, SQ5 TFS and the Audi Q8 sport concept at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. With these cars, Audi also unveiled the eco-friendly A5 Sportback that joined the g-tron series.
The Audi A5 Sportback from the ‘g-tron’ line up runs on both petrol and CNG-compressed natural gas. With a total capacity of 19kgs of CNG, the A5 will run up to 500kms and 950kms after combining the petrol engine efficiency. The Audi A5 Sportback is powered by a 2.0 TFSI engine that delivers a maximum power of 167bhp and a maximum torque of 270 Nm mated to an S tronic transmission. This is Audi’s third model that can run on CNG that covers up to 500 kilometers on CNG and 950kms combined with petrol operation.
The Audi Q8 sport concept is powered by a combination of a 3.0 TFSI six-cylinder engine with a mild hybrid system. The engine delivers a maximum power of 469bhp and 700Nm of maximum torque. The Audi Q8 sprints from 0-100kmph in 4.7 seconds to go all the way up to a top speed of 275kmph. As far as the design is concerned, the front of Q8 sports Audi’s octagonal single frame with honeycomb insert, flanked by two large air inlets with long roof edge spoiler on the top, an aluminium diffuser and the exhaust system’s oval tailpipes at the back.
