Bridgestone launches Firestone brand in India

Bridgestone India has launched it’s American subsidiary brand Firestone in India. Firestone tyres will focus on four wheelers to begin with. The first two products are the FR500 car tyre and LE02 SUV tyres.
The FR500 will be available in 24 sizes with tyre diameter ranging from 12 to 16 inches. This will essentially target the small and medium car segment. The LE02 is available in 3 sizes with diameter ranging from 15-16 inches. The fast growing compact SUV segment is the target market for this tyre.
Speaking at the launch, Kazuhiko Nomura, MD, Bridgestone India said, “Firestone on the onset will focus on the passenger car and SuV segments and subsequently expand the size range. We hope to garner our fair share of the marker through a side pan-India network of dealerships and superior quality service.”
