TVS Racing will conduct a training school for aspiring racers at the Madras Motor Race Track in Chennai. This school is an FMSCI affiliated training school. Completion of a training program from a racing school in India is mandatory to participate in any national championship including one make championships. TVS stalwarts – K.Jagan, Harry Silvester, Ahamed, S. Kannan and Aishwarya Pissay will be training the students of the training school. The first batch is to be held on 27th January 2018 and will be open to racing enthusiasts from all over the country.
TVS says that the aim of this exercise is to find fresh racing talent from the whole country and subsequently give them a primer on what racing really is like. TVS Racing is also planning to conduct three additional training schools later this year. The registration fee for each participant per batch is Rs. 6000, which includes on and off-track training, a TVS Apache RTR200 race motorcycle to ride on, riding gear. Riders are expected to bring along their helmets. Certificates from TVS Racing School will be awarded to all participants. Every batch will have 50 participants and all the participants upon completion of the training can apply to compete in the Novice category of the TVS One Make Championship.
