Force India, avoided the pomp and show of an official launch and simply chose to roll out their VJM-09 out of the pit-lane at Circuit de Catalunya. The team had a strong finish last year with a fifth place constructors title finish, and will be looking to build on it from last year. In fact, for all intent and purposes the new car looks almost identical to that on the outgoing model. With information on the car scarce one is led to wonder, whether this the car that will ultimately hit the track later this year or this is just an attempt to ensure that the team could avoid missing the first practice like they did last season. Nico Hulkenberg and Sergio Perez are staying on, while while Alfonso Celis Jr and Nikita Mazepin joins as development drivers.
