“It was a well-organized thrilling event and we thought we should return this year! Plus we want to enjoy more runs, and our sponsors said yes for APRC2!” said Shafraz Junaid.

The Sri Lankan duo have been rallying together for more than a decade and they recently won a night rally in their Subaru GC8 , held in the hilly terrain of Kandy, Sri Lanka. They also have many more credits to their names, due to their involvement in the motorcycle category on a Honda Transalp 600 and in a Nissan 4WD cab in TSD rallies.

Co-driver Akhry Ameer too, was ecstatic about the atmosphere and the support they received from Chettinad Racing during their previous coffee day rally. The duo is looking for a better experience this time after having narrowly missed podium at the IRC category last year.  They are hoping for a much better finish in the APRC 2WD category to end the season.
