Mercedes-Benz launches updated C-Class Cabriolet

Mercedes-Benz has launched the updated C 300 Cabriolet at Rs 65.25 lakh (ex-showroom, India). Highlights of the updated car include a revised front bumper, diamond grille, new alloy wheels and Multibeam LED headlights among others. The company says that the airflow in the interior has reduced due to its Aircap system and as a result, the drag is reduced to improve on fuel efficiency.

Under the hood of the Mercedes-Benz C 300 Cabriolet is the ‘M 264’ 2-litre inline 4-cylinder petrol engine which conforms to BS-VI standards. The engine makes 254.5bhp between 5800-6100rpm and a peak twist of 370Nm between 1800-4000rpm. The updated C 300 Cabriolet makes 13.4bhp more than the outgoing model. The engine is matched to a 9-speed automatic transmission. The car accelerates to 100kmph from a standstill in 6.2 seconds with a top whack of 250kmph. On the inside, the car is equipped with a 10.25-inch touch screen infotainment system with Andriod Auto and Apple Car Play, a new steering wheel, ambient lighting with 64 colour options and wooden elements. You also get three new paint schemes for the exterior.

The facelifted C 300 Cabriolet is Rs 19,000 dearer over the outgoing model.
