After showcasing the XUV300 last month, Mahindra has opened bookings for this baby XUV. With a launch scheduled next month, this cheetah inspired compact SUV will go up against the likes of Maruti Suzuki Vitara Brezza and Ford Ecosport. The price is expected to be around 8 to 12 lakh (ex-showroom).
The car will be available with a 1.2 litre petrol engine that will produce 200Nm along with a 1.5 litre diesel variant that produces a class-leading torque of 300Nm. The XUV300 is going guns blazing by boasting first in class 7 airbags, including a knee airbag for the driver. Also on offer are disc brakes for wheels as standard. Another segment-first feature is the dual-zone automatic climate control and front parking sensors. Boasting the longest wheelbase and best-in-class width, the car promises other premium features like an electric sunroof, LED DRLs and taillamps.
Excited about the launch, Veejay Ram Nakra, chief of sales & marketing, M&M Ltd. said, “The XUV300 is a very exciting & comprehensive package that will compete with SUVs in the Rs.8-12 Lakh (ex-showroom) price range. The XUV300 promises not just the most fun-to-drive performance in the segment, but also first-in-class hi-tech features & best-in-class safety. Its 7 airbags are the highest number offered on any 5-seater, not just in the Compact SUV segment, but also in the mid-size sedan segment. Segment-first features such as Dual-zone Fully Automatic Climate Control and Front Parking Sensors are thoughtful new features keeping consumer expectations in mind. We are certain that the XUV300 will help us redefine the growing Compact SUV segment in India.”
The company is offering 3 variants- W4, W6 and W8 along with an optional pack variant-W8(O). You can book yours from Mahindra dealerships across the country or from the brand’s official website.
