Mahindra Marazzo breezes past city traffic

Having started off in Kolkata today, we were met with the hustle and bustle of the charming old city. The hustle and bustle usually translates to a tough time behind the wheel. But the Mahindra Marazzo was a breeze to maneuver in traffic with the light clutch and smooth shifting gearbox. After a light meal at the iconic 92-year-old Flurys cafe, we were all set for a quick glimpse of all the sights of Kolkata. We spent some time driving around the majestic Victoria Memorial in the heart of the city and were in awe of the amazing architecture. On our way to the eventual destination for the day, we passed over the Hoogly river on the Howrah bridge.

Stretching the legs of the Mahindra Marazzo on the Ocean Trail

Moving out of the city, we found some highways to stretch the legs of the 1.5-litre heart of the Mahindra Marazzo. Triple digit speed cruising was easily taken care of. The highways had to end soon end though, and we were faced with negotiating the tight roads leading up to Mandarmani. The Marazzo comfortably dealt with all that. By late evening we were at Mandarmani, the longest drivable beach in the country. Tomorrow seems like a fun day and we are making our way towards Bhitarkanika national forest.
