Lamborghini Aventador SVJ launched in India
Lamborghini has finally launched their Nürburgring record-shattering Aventador SVJ in India. If you have heard of the Aventador SV, then the SVJ is a faster, more track-focused iteration. In the middle sits the most powerful V12 created by Lamborghini. A 6.5-litre naturally aspirated V12 motor producing a massive 759bhp, 30 more horses compared to the SV and 720Nm of torque at 6,750rpm. Even more menacing is the improved redline of 8,700 rpm along with a lighter flywheel. The motor is mated to a seven-speed automated manual ISR (Independent shifting rods) which is re-tuned for quicker shifts.

The track maniac- Lamborghini Aventador SVJ
SVJ stands for Super Veloce Jota. Super Veloce translates to ‘Super Fast’. That is exactly what the Aventador SVJ is. Capable of sprinting to 100kmph in just 2.8 seconds and then to 200kmph in another 5.8 seconds. It boasts of a top whack of more than 350kmph. The Aventador SVJ weighs in at 1525kg, which isisimilar to the SV but 50kg lighter than the S thanks to lighter body parts and a carbon fibre monocoque chassis. The engine cover is also made of carbon fibre. The heavily reworked body styling features aggressive looking air inlets, aluminium bonnet, bumpers, fenders and doors along with a new rocker cover. The new front diffuser and huge rear spoiler with ALA2 (Aerodynamic Lamborghini Attiva 2) system which in layman terms is active aero with active flaps thats channel air to push the supercar down increasing traction.

With all that power and aero, the Aventador SVJ has lapped the Nürburgring in a scarcely believable 6:44.97 (mm:ss), shattering the production car lap record previously set by the Porsche 911 GT2 RS. As far as handling is concerned, it gets stiffer anti-roll bars, all-wheel-drive and all-wheel-steering which should help improve traction in the corners. Barely visible but incredibly important are the slit-like vents on the enormous rear wing that direct airflow to push the rear end of the car down for improved traction. Lamborghini has announced that they will produce only 900 units of the SVJ.
