Benelli launch TNT25, price it at 1.68 lakh

DSK Benelli has launched its TNT25 at a base price of Rs. 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi). The TNT25 is now the most affordable Benelli. The TN 25 is powered by a liquid-cooled single cylinder, 4 stroke engine with a 6-speed transmission which produces 28.1bhp at 9800 rpm and 21.61Nm at 8000 rpm. The TNT25 gets a 280mm petal discs with a 4 caliper brakes and the rear gets a 240mm single disc with double piston caliper. The large fuel capacity of 17-litres will give the TNT25 a fairly decent range and with a upright riding position the TNT25 would become an option for the touring community in the country. The TNT25 has derived most of its charm from its sibling the TNT300 with same muscular naked street look with a sculpted fuel tank, side slung exhaust, split seat and part-digital, part-analog instrument panel, upside down front fork and rear mono shock suspension with multi spoke 17” alloy wheels.
With the launch of the TNT 25 Benelli has also launched wide range of accessories and customization options for the TNT25. Buyers can now customize the bike as they desire, with options like superlative CNC parts and 3 sets of decal. Benelli has also introduced for the first time its range of race inspired helmets with ‘Bellissimo Italiano’ design and safety features.
Benelli, has a wide range of bikes in India, from the TNT300, 600i, 600GT, TNT899 and TNT 1130R. The 600i and TNT 300 are the highest-selling bikes in the country in their respective segments. Benelli aims to sell 8000 units of the TNT 25 within one year. The bike, just like the rest of their portfolio, will be assembled at DSK Motowheels plant in Maharashtra. Bad news is that ABS is not offered on the bike now, but according to Shirish Kulkarni, Chairman, DSK Motowheels DSK Benelli is working on an ABS variant of the TNT25 and should be available in the next 6-8 months. Benelli is also setting up a new manufacturing unit near Pune to meet the demands.
The TNT25 is available in two variants. The only difference between the two is what tyre you get. The standard variant priced at Rs. 1.68 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) comes with MRF rubber and the premium variant priced for Rs. 1.75 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi) comes with Metzelers. The TNT25 would be available in two colour options – white and red. The TNT 25 is all set to compete with the Honda CBR 250 R, KTM Duke 200 and the Mahindra Mojo in the market.
