Aston Martin unveils the limited edition DBS 59

To commemorate one of the most iconic moments in racing history of Aston Martin, the brand has built the DBS 59. Limited to just 24 models, the car pays homage to the historic 1-2 win at 1959 24 hour Le Mans. The car has been developed by Aston Martin’s Q division. This limited edition super GT is based on the DBS Superleggera.

All about the Aston Martin DBS 59

The Aston Martin DBS 59 flaunts the company’s Racing Green, a hue based on the 1959 DBR 1. The DBS 59 gets a gloss carbonfibre on the roof strakes and roof panel. Instead of the usual black finish for the vent strakes and bonnet slats, the DBS 59 gets body colour for these. The wheels, brake callipers, grille surround, badging and the fender badge get bronze-finished touches. The static spoiler also gets a unique script finished in bronze.

The interiors too boast the same theme with the contrasting body coloured theme on the dash and doors with a two tone interior palette of chestnut tan and leather finish. Continuing the theme of the exterior, the paddle shifters and the stitching too get the bronze treatment.

Mechanically, the DBS is unchanged. It gets the same twin-turbo V12 engine developing 715bhp, mated to an eight-speed ZF automatic gearbox as the standard model.

If you are planning on treating yourself with one of these 24 examples, you’ll have to head to Cambridge. The Aston Martin DBS 59 will be only sold through this specific dealership .
