OLA has launched the Roadster X and Roadster X+ electric motorbike in India with introductory prices for the Roadster X starting from ₹74,999 and Roadster X+ starting from ₹1.04 lakh. Both the electric bikes are available with various battery pack options and will offer modern styling while claiming to offer performance combined with efficiency. The bikes will be compatible with all hyperchargers and OLA electric network across the country. It will be offered with a 3-year standard warranty with an optional extended warranty of 5 or 8 years.

The Roadster X will feature a 4.3-inch colour LCD screen, cruise control, reverse mode, advanced regen, all-LED headlights, three ride modes (normal, eco and sport), brake-by-wire and connected bike technology. While the Roadster X+ will offer all of these features, it will additionally house front disc brakes. 

Both the electric motorcycles will get a IP67 waterproof and dust proof battery. The powertrain will feature a chain drive and an integrated MCU for efficient torque transfer. It will also house flat cables that will improve overall durability and reliability.

Prices are introductory

OLA Roadster X and Roadster X+ performance and range

The Roadster X will have a 7kW electric motor delivering 9bhp of peak power. It will be available in three variants, 2.5kWh, 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh offering a IDC-claimed range of 140km, 196km and 252km respectively. The 2.5kWh variant accelerates from 0-40kmph in 3.4 seconds with a top speed of 105kmph while the 3.5kWh and 4.5kWh variants do it in just 3.1 seconds with a top speed of 118kmph. 

On the other hand the Roadster X+ with 4.5kWh and 9.1kWh battery packs is powered by a 11kW electric motor that will push out 14bhp of peak power sprinting from 0-40kmph in just 2.7 seconds with a top speed of 125kmph. The 4.5kWh variant will have a claimed IDC-range of 252km. While the 9.1kWh battery pack variant with 4680 Bharat Cell will offer a massive IDC-certified range of 501km.

Both the models will come with a 1kW charger with an optional 2.2kW charger and will be available in five colours. Deliveries will start in mid-March 2025 except the 9.1kWh variant which will roll out in April 2025.
