Hyundai motors unveiled three models at the 2017 Frankfurt Motor Show, namely i30 N, i30 Fastback and Kona. The i30 N is a high performance hatchback, the i30 Fastback is a compact 5-door premium coupe and the Kona is a sub-compact SUV.
The i30 N is the first performance oriented model from Hyundai and is also the first car developed by Hyundai’s N performance division. It is powered by a 2-litre turbo petrol motor pumping out 246bhp of power and 353Nm of torque. It can accelerate from 0 to 100kmph in 6.4 seconds and has a top speed of 250kmph. The optional performance package elevates the power to 271bhp, and reduces the acceleration time by 0.3 seconds, though torque remains the same.
On the other hand the i30 Fastback is a compact five-door premium car featuring a coupe-like design. While the KONA is a sub-compact SUV that features a bold and striking design. It features full-LED twin headlamps, two-tone roof and a choice of ten distinctive exterior colours. Other features include a 4-wheel drive system and 7-speed DCT transmission.

Hyundai Motors also introduced a new Smart Stream range of engines. And showcased a 1.6-litre T-GDi engine with Continuous Variable Valve Duration (CVVD), that optimizes the opening and closing of the valve independently to maximize performance and fuel economy as well as to reduce emissions.
All the three models showcased at the Frankfurt Motor Show are developed specifically for the European markets.
