Six thousand plus kilometres – from Pune to Turtuk and back. That’s the distance we decided to drive the Renault Duster AWD on its maiden voyage as part of the evo India fleet. I was a bit apprehensive of the Renault Duster’s long distance capabilities, having not had much time behind the wheel of one before. The AWD feels similar to the regular version, but has a few nice tricks up its sleeve. Its electronic on-the-fly AWD well assisted by a good clutch, which has good bite and ensures minimal wheel spin was quite handy when there were no roads. If you’ve gone through our border challenge story, you will see there were more than a few occasions we had to tackle tricky situations and the Renault Duster came through with flying colors. If my first long-distance experience of the Duster is anything to go by, it might just be able to change perceptions.
