Amidst all the hype for the DB11, Aston Martin has unveiled a new Vanquish S with an additional 30bhp.

The 6-litre, V12 of the Vanquish S has been retained but the power has been upped from 565bhp to 595bhp all thanks to a redesigned, larger volume intake manifold giving the car better air-intake at higher revs, this also helps sharpen the throttle response and the V12 is mated to the improved 8-speed automatic gearbox. The torque remains the same at 630Nm but the higher power output has led to a 0-100 time of 3.5 seconds, which is faster by 0.3 seconds than the regular variant. The top speed remains the same at 323kmph.

The exterior gets an improved aero package with carbonfibre front and rear splitter to increase the aerodynamics of the vehicle. On the technical front, the GT gets firmer springs, new dampers, upgraded anti-roll bars and quad exhausts along with limited-slip differential and launch control as standard. The Vanquish S can be further customised with the optional extras such as the carbonfibre bonnet louvres, the 20-inch 5-spoke forged alloys, a carbonfibre roof panel, door mirror caps and door handles. The interior too gets the carbonfibre treatment with a mixture of Alcantara interiors as standard and an optional carbonfibre central console panel.

The Vanquish S will be sold along the newly launched DB11, the DB9 GT, the Rapide S and the Vantage. With the additional 30 horses, the Vanquish S makes for a faster GT combined with drop dead looks, what else could you wish for?
