Saving up to buy a new car? Well hurry to Toyota dealerships today as the company has announced a price hike for their vehicles for the year 2018. The reason for the hike is due to rising input and freight costs and hence customers will have to end up paying three per cent more on the existing prices across the range.
Thus, Toyota is offering a year end sale till the end of this month with benefits ranging from Rs 40000 to Rs 90000 depending on the variants and regions. They include Toyota’s ‘Remember December’ campaign offers various financial schemes, EMI packages and interest rates from 4.99 per cent to attract more customers.
“There has been an increase in the cost of manufacturing of vehicles. Frequent fluctuations in the global commodity prices and foreign exchange rates have continued to impact our input costs, from both domestic as well as import fronts. Toyota has been absorbing the additional costs all this while, protecting the customers from price increase. However, due to the continued pressure of high costs, Toyota is considering a price increase of up to 3 per cent across models with effect from Jan 2018” said a statement by Toyota spokesperson.
