Developing times demand innovative ideas to help the auto industry reduce its carbon footprint and adopt better mobility solutions. With precisely that in mind,
Tata Motors have revealed a sub-brand within their umbrella which works for sustainable solutions to provide low investment low volume solutions for the Indian as well as the global market, christened as
TAMO – Tata Mobility solutions.
TAMO will act as an incubator of ideas ranging from digital incorporation to cost management and some day even bill down to bringing forth autonomous solutions for the parent company Tata Motors. Some key developments in their future products will have bearing from this very initiative and will aim to simplify production complexities.
With that in mind, Tata have promised to create two new product platforms which will simplify manufacturing ability with their current products will more or less trickled down to operate onto one common platform known as the AMP (Advanced Modular Platform) which will be a modular platform.
But the one major highlight from the day’s event was the under-wraps image of what seems to be a two-seater sportscar from the TAMO range. While Tata Motors remained tight lipped about the details of the said car, they did however reveal the showcase date of the same as it will be on display at their stall at the
Geneva Motor Show in March. Tata going the
Honda NSX way might certainly be the biggest leap for an Indian car manufacturer.
