The drop dead gorgeous 2016 Lamborghini Huracan Spyder launches on 5th May, with an inauguration of Lamborghini’s Mumbai dealership simultaneously.
The hardtop LP610-4 Huracan has been on sale for a while now and late last year, Lamborghini also launched the rear-wheel drive LP580-2 version of the supercar. Now Lamborghini adds a third variant to the Huracan range – the HuracanLP610-4 Spyder.
As the name suggests, the Spyder shares its output with the hardtop. At the back is the VW Group’s naturally aspirated 5.2-litre V10, making 610bhp of power at a high 8,250rpm and 560Nm of torque at 6,500rpm. The Spyder hits a top speed of 324kmph and does the 0-100kmph sprint in just 3.4 seconds. Deceleration is taken care by a standard-fit carbon-ceramic brake system, the front discs being colossal 380mm units.
As for the canvas roof, it opens/shuts completely in just 17 seconds and can be operated at speeds of up to 50kmph. The roof is available in three different colours: black, brown and red. The new electronically controlled all-wheel drive set-up enhances its driving manners in three different modes, Strada, Sport and Corsa.
Expect the Spyder to come with a slightly higher premium over the Rs 3.43 crore hardtop.
