Indian Scout Sixty launched at Rs 11.99 lakh

The much awaited Indian Scout Sixty has finally made it to our shores and is now retailing at a price of Rs 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi), which makes it the most affordable bike in the Indian lineup.

The Scout Sixty shares the chassis, brakes, suspension, gearbox and the core engine block with the Scout. The revised 999cc (60 cu in) engine produces 78bhp and 88Nm of torque at 5800 rpm. Whereas its elder sibling gets a 1131cc engine that churns out 99bhp and 97.7Nm of torque and is expensive by Rs 88,000.

Commenting on the launch of the Indian Scout Sixty in India, Mr. Pankaj Dubey, Managing Director, Polaris India Pvt. Ltd said, “The legendary heritage of the Indian Scout is carried forward in the Indian Scout Sixty. Expertly balanced and lightweight, the bike has won the hearts of bike enthusiasts around the globe. I am quite sure that the introduction of the All-New 2016 Indian Scout Sixty in the Indian market will help us grow in terms of volumes in the fast-growing luxury commuter category.”

The Scout Sixty can be customised as per the rider’s liking and has 200 accessories on offer, such as seats, handlebars, saddle bags, foot peg relocaters, windscreens, wired wheels etc. The American cruiser is available in three colours namely, Thunder Black, Indian Motorcylce Red and Pearl White and will be available in showrooms from July.
