Hyundai has unveiled a hydrogen powered FE Fuel Cell Concept and the i30 Wagon in
Geneva International Motor Show today. Powered by a hydrogen fuel cell system, the new FE Fuel Cell Concept will run for more than 788kms before you refuel it with hydrogen. Hyundai is set to launch a total of fourteen eco-focused cars in the next three years and the FE Fuel Cell Concept is one of them. These cars will be combination of hybrids, plug-in hybrids and electric vehicles, as well as the FE concept preview – a fuel cell SUV in 2018.
With the unveiling of the FE Fuel Cell Concept, Hyundai has shown its vision for the future of eco-friendly motoring at the Geneva motor show.
Dubbed as the i30 Wagon, the five-door hatch will be the most practical version in the new i30’s four-strong line-up, offering ‘elegance and versatility to everyone’, according to Hyundai’s chief designer Thomas Bürkle.
Hyundai further claimed that the i30 Wagon will boast a 602-liter boot space with the rear seats upright, which expands to 1650 lts with the seats laid flat. The wagon measures an overall length of 4585mm, while its wheelbase is 2650mm.
The i30 Wagon will come with three petrol engine options and one diesel engine. The new i30 looks sportier than its tourer predecessor and resembles the Mercedes’ theme as far as the shape of the B-pillar and the glasses is concerned.
The i30 Wagon also come with a large number of safety systems fitted either as standard or from the options list.
