Automobili Lamborghini launched a special edition of the 600bhp+ supercar, the Huracan in India, today. Priced at Rs 3.71 crore, only 250 units of the Avio will be sold worldwide.

The changes are limited to cosmetics mainly, with the Avio getting the side skirts, front bumper lip, ORVMs, racing stripes across the bonnet and the roof painted in either gray or white colour. Also, the doors get ‘L63’ painted in white that denotes the year when Lamborghini was established while L stands for the Italian carmaker’s name. The same story continues inside as the Avio gets black themed interiors with alcantara along with Lamborghini’s usual airplane cockpit like theme. The seats are embossed with the L63 logo and also the driver side window also gets a hand-enamelled plate. The interior trims colours and trims can be customised as well with the help of Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program.

At the event, Mr.Sharad Agarwal, Head, Lamborghini India commented, “This is the first time we have brought a special edition car to India to showcase. We are offering the Indian consumers to take a look and feel of the car. We are opening a window of 5 days for the Indian customers to be among the 250 Huracan Avio customers worldwide. The special edition takes cues from fighter jets across the world.”

No mechanical changes have been incorporated in the Huracan Avio, it is still powered by a 5.2-litre naturally aspirated V10 that churns out 602bhp and 560Nm of torque. The engine is mated to a 7-speed DCT. Weighing just 1422kg, the Huracan can clock the 100kmph timing in 3.2 seconds and can go all the way to 325kmph.

The Huracan Avio is available across Lamborghini showrooms based in Mumbai, Delhi and Bangalore right now.
