In a country where a death takes place every four minutes due to a road accident, Ashoka Buildcon aims to bring this horrific statistic down with its 600th road safety awareness campaign which they are hoping to bag a Guinness World Record for as the “Largest Road Safety Lesson” that will have 2700 participants.
Being one of India’s leading highway developers, Ashoka Buildcon’s latest campaign will take the issue of road safety to the streets as well as to the classrooms of several schools and colleges of Nashik. Interactive sessions with truck/bus drivers as well as free eye and health check-up camps will also be carried out.
“We are happy that our 600th road safety session will be getting global recognition. Ashoka Buildcon has always taken up Road Safety as a serious issue”, said Ashish Katariya, director of Ashoka Concessions.
The campaign will branch out to a further 16 cities across 7 states of the country with nearly 3 lakh participants expected to be reached.
