James Bond has always had the USP of suave, right from the Aston Martin that Sean Connery drove in Dr No, the first Bond movie. Since then, there have been a plethora of Aston Martins, with the a few detours here and there, most notably with Pierce Brosnan and the BMW 750IL he drove remotely in Goldeneye.

For its part, Land Rover has made a few appearances in the James Bond franchise, starting with the almost blink-and-miss-it shot of Roger Moore driving a Range Rover Convertible in 1983’s “Octopussy”. However, the latest James Bond movie “No Time To Die” will have a sea change, with Agent 007 now at the wheel of the new Land Rover Defender. In a behind the scenes footage shared by the brand, we see the stunt team of the movie putting the Defender through the paces. And quite a bashing it is, with the Defender being pushed and squeezed within an inch of its 291mm ground clearance and 900mm wading depth, as it goes all guns blazing through the mounds, ruts and mud.

No Time To Die, the latest in the James Bond franchise releases in April 2020, and along with the new Defender, will also feature the Range Rover Sport SVR, Series III Land Rover and Range Rover Classic.
