One of DSK Benelli’s most popular bikes in India, the TNT 600i will now come with switchable ABS as an option. The Benelli TNT 600i with this essential feature costs around Rs. 40,000 more, now costing Rs 5.73 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).
Everything else on the bike remains unchanged. This variant will be powered by the same 600cc liquid-cooled, inline-four cylinder engine with DOHC and 16 valves used by the non-ABS variant. The engine produces 80.5bhp at 11,500rpm and 54.6Nm at 10,500rpm and is mated to a six-speed gearbox, while the hardware includes inverted forks, hydraulic monoshock, dual front disc brake, single rear disc brake, a 120/70-ZR17 front tyre and 180/55-ZR17 rear tyre.
The overall length of the bike is 2,160 mm, width of 800 mm, height of 1,180 mm, wheelbase of 1,480 mm, ground clearance of 150 mm, kerb weight of 231 kg and fuel tank capacity of 15 litres.
At the moment, ABS is an optional feature on the bike. But come 2017, given the Indian government’s order to provide ABS as standard across all the bikes above 125cc from 2017, the feature will be provided as a standard fitment.
The Benelli TNT 600i will be avaiable across all DSK Benelli showrooms in India, covering all the major cities like Pune, Mumbai, Goa, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Coimbatore, Delhi, Jaipur, Indore and Kolkata.
