The latest version of the BMW X3 brings refreshed styling, updated interiors, and new engine choices to the Indian market;
BMW has launched the fourth-generation X3 in India with two engine options. The petrol variant comes at a starting price of ₹75.8 lakh while the diesel variant starts at ₹77.8 lakh. With the new generation, it has received changes to both its exterior and interior, as well as new powertrain options that include mild-hybrid technology.
Fourth-gen BMW X3 exterior
The new BMW X3 features a refreshed exterior, marked by a larger kidney grille, redesigned LED headlights, and sleeker lines. BMW also claims that it is now bigger, wider and taller than anything else in the segment. Overall, the design sticks closely to BMW's signature style but with modern updates following its other siblings.
Fourth-gen BMW X3 interior
Inside, the X3 offers a minimalist approach, again, following its siblings. The standout feature is BMW’s Curved Display, which includes a 12.3-inch cluster and a 14.9-inch touch infotainment. Other interior highlights include ventilated sports seats and M steering wheel. It also gets the largest panoramic roof in its class.
Fourth-gen BMW X3 powertrain and chassis
Under the hood, the new BMW X3 offers a choice between mild-hybrid 2.0-litre petrol and diesel engines. The petrol engine is good for 187bhp and 310Nm of torque while the diesel engine produces 194bhp and 400Nm of torque. Both come paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission. BMW has also introduced a 48V mild-hybrid system to improve efficiency and performance. Talking about chassis, it gets a wider rear track and variable suspension damping along with a 50:50 weight distribution.
Fourth-gen BMW X3 price and availability
The new BMW X3 is priced at ₹75.8 lakh for the petrol variant and ₹77.8 lakh for the diesel, ex-showroom. The new 2025 BMW X3 is locally produced and bookings are open while deliveries are expected to begin in April 2025.
