With a few changes to the ergonomics, the F77 claims to offer a comfier riding experience without wavering from the footsteps of the Mach 2

Ultraviolette has delivered over 1000 units of the F77 since the brand began its deliveries in early 2023. In doing so, it has gathered a wealth of buyer feedback. Many have purchased the bike for its stunning design and performance, not minding that it’s an EV, as it also boasts an impressive real-world range. However, some prospective buyers have held back due to its aggressive riding posture.

That’s why the brand has introduced the F77 Super Street—a more road-focused version of the bike, featuring a conventional handlebar that is both wider and taller. It promises to be a comfier and more user-friendly variant of the F77. There are a few subtle changes here and there too, so let’s dive in.

Ultraviolette F77 Super Street Styling and Features

The F77 Mach 2 has already cemented its place in history as one of the best-looking Indian bikes, period, and the Super Street is no exception. When a conventional handlebar is added to a bike originally designed for a clip-on setup, the result often feels like an afterthought—bizarre and out of place. But that’s not the case here.

The 85mm taller and 30mm wider handlebar on the F77 Super Street doesn’t look odd; in fact, it suits the motorcycle rather well. It is neatly proportioned and comes with a windscreen up front to cover the riser, which looks clean and well-integrated. The windscreen is also aero-optimised, making the front up to 15 per cent more aerodynamic.

Apart from these elements and the Super Street badging on the sides, there’s little to distinguish this as a new model. All the other head-turning design elements remain unchanged—the sharp headlight and large front fork covers, the massive single-piece side panel that neatly integrates the crash guards, the sharp tail, and the sleek LED tail light. This nearly five-year-old bike still looks fresh today, and I don’t think it will ever look boring anytime soon.

Unlike the Mach 2, which is available in six different shades, the Super Street comes in just four colours—Afterburner Yellow, Turbo Red, Cosmic Black, and Stellar White. And I have to say, the Black looks absolutely incredible. Just like the Mach 2, the Super Street is also available in two variants—Standard and Recon, with two battery options.

Feature-wise, it gets a 5-inch TFT display, three riding modes—Glide, Combat, and Ballistic—switchable dual-channel ABS, four-level traction control, hill-hold control, dynamic stability control, and an optional 9-level regen system (exclusive to the Recon variant). With the Super Street, Ultraviolette has also introduced a range of new accessories, which are also compatible with the Mach 2. These include a TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System), lever guard, aero discs, panniers—both soft and hard—with 30-litre storage and 3kg capacity each and top-mount for a storage box. Moreover, the bike features Violette A.I. smart tech, which enables crash alerts, daily ride analytics, an anti-collision warning system, remote lock/unlock, and Delta Watch—an alarm that sounds whenever someone tampers with your bike.

Ultraviolette F77 Super Street Motor and Battery details

Powering the F77 Super Street is the same Permanent Magnet AC Motor found in the F77 Mach 2. It generates 36bhp and 90Nm in the Standard variant, while the Recon model boasts 40bhp and 100Nm. The Standard variant features a 7.1kWh battery, which promises a 211km IDC-claimed range, while the Recon comes with a 10.3kWh unit—the largest battery on any electric two-wheeler in India—boasting a 323km range on a single charge.

It offers three ride modes: the Glide is ideal for cruising around town. Combat turns things up a notch and ‘Ballistic’ is seriously quick.

Ultraviolette F77 Super Street Ergonomics, Chassis, and Handling

As I mentioned earlier, the F77 Super Street gets an 85mm taller and 30mm wider conventional handlebar, whose primary purpose is to create a more upright riding posture and offer a more comfortable rider’s triangle. Compared to the Mach 2's rather aggressive 55-degree riding posture, the Super Street has a more relaxed 80-degree setup, and the difference is evident the moment you set off. Lifting the bike off its stand is noticeably easier, and the setup offers better leverage, making it more manageable in bumper-to-bumper traffic. However, at sharp, slow-speed turns, the wider handlebars do make you feel the bike’s weight more. Seat height remains the same at 800mm, making it accessible and the seat is sculpted, being narrower at the front, allowing riders as short as 5ft 6in to flat-foot comfortably.

Once past 20kmph, the Super Street hides its 207kg kerb weight well though. It absorbs potholes and bumps beautifully, offering a good low-speed ride that gets even better when riding with a pillion. At triple-digit speeds, it remains planted and confidence-inspiring.

I had the chance to ride the Super Street on track, and unsurprisingly, it performed beautifully. The wider handlebar makes turn-ins a little slower, but the bike remains just as sharp. Its weight is noticeable when switching directions, yet the bike feels incredibly stable through corners, as most of its weight sits low in the chassis.

On the braking front, it gets a 320mm front disc and a 230mm rear disc, supported by Bosch dual-channel ABS. The system offers strong bite and excellent stopping power, although after extended aggressive riding, some brake fade sets in. However, this is compensated for by the impressive 9-level regen system. Read more about the 9-level regen here.

Ultraviolette F77 Super Street price and verdict

The last thing which the F77 Super Street shares with the Mach 2 is its price. The standard model demands ₹2.99 lakh, ex-showroom while the Recon model will set you back ₹3.99 lakh,ex-showroom.

So, to answer the big question—should you buy the F77 Super Street? Well, if you're considering the Ultraviolette F77 and are primarily planning to use it for the streets or touring, the Super Street is the variant to go for. It retains everything that makes the Mach 2 great—looks, performance and range—while offering better comfort and practicality.

No matter how much you love the aggressive, low-set handlebars of the Mach 2, if you have even the slightest doubt about its comfort, simply opt for the Super Street—you won’t be disappointed and won't miss anything, that's for sure.
