Porsche drops 2016 Panamera teaser video

Inspired by the 718 Boxster and the 911 series, the 2017 Porsche Panamera has been teased on the internet with a video revealing its rear clusters, bridged by a LED strip with Porsche badge under the same. Awaiting an unveiling at the 2016 Paris Motor Show which is to be held in October, the ultra-luxurious sedan will be built on a new platform dubbed MSB, allowing it to be 90 kgs lighter despite its longer wheelbase.

The new Porsche Panamera will embrace a new family of V6 and V8 engines paired with next-gen PDK gearbox as standard, but this time with a new eight speed dual-clutch automatic transmission instead of the usual seven speed. These engines will drive the rear-wheels of the four-door sedan with 542bhp of power and a peak torque of 770Nm.

On the outside, the car gets new tail lights, new alloy wheels and an enhanced sports exhaust system. On the inside, this second generation Panamera will sport a cutting edge infotainment system.

There are chances that a shooting brake variant may follow the Panamera launch at the 2016 Paris Motor Show, after which it is expected to be unveiled in India.
