Volkswagen Polo GT Sport launched

Volkswagen has reacted to the launch of the new warm hatch in town, the Maruti Baleno RS by giving its Polo GT twins a few extra features. Christened GT Sport, these will be offered alongside the regular GT models and will feature 16 inch wheels, larger than the regular 15 inch wheels, will come with a glossy black roof and spoiler and new design for the alloy wheels. On the inside, the GT Sport model gets black leatherette seat covers with GT sport embossing on them. The GT Sports cost Rs 20,000 over the regular GT variants, which is Rs 9.31 lakh for the GT TSI and 9.42 lakh over the GT TDI. All prices are ex-showroom Delhi.

The GT TSI is powered by a 1.2-litre turbo petrol engine that makes 103bhp of power and 175Nm of torque. The GT TSI comes with a 7-speed DSG gearbox. The GT TDI on the other hand comes with a 5-speed manual gearbox. It gets a 1.5-litre turbo-diesel engine making 109bhp of power and 250Nm of torque.
