Triumph India announced their latest launch, the Triumph Bonneville T100, priced at Rs 7.78 lakh (ex- showroom Delhi). The T100 will is slotted between the Street Twin and the Bonneville T120. Bookings of the bike have begun at Triumph showrooms across India.

Powered by a 900cc, liquid cooled, parallel- twin engine setup producing 54bhp and 80Nm of torque, it is mated to 5-speed gearbox. It has a tank capacity of 14.5 litres, giving it a decent range and weight 213kg (dry weight). Its elder sibling, the T120, comes with a 1,200cc engine, except that, there have been no modifications done to the bike, whatsoever.

The T100 is designed to look just as its elder brother the T120. It receives the same retro looks like the sculpted Bonneville tank, wire spoke rims and twin pod display setup with the peashooter exhausts and a two-tone paint job option.

Under all that retro looks the T100 has been fitted with switchable ABS system as standard, a ride-by-wire throttle, a torque-assist clutch for lighter clutch action and a USB charging slot under the seat. The twin pod will consist of the speedometer, tachometer and will also include a display which will consist of a gear indicator, service indicator, range to empty display, fuel gauge and mileage. The handlebar scroll switch will allow the rider to switch between the 2 modes of the ABS.

It goes up against the likes of Ducati Scrambler, Harley Davidson Street 750 and Iron 883. All these superbikes have their individualistic characteristics, including the T100 and do not compete with the T100 head-on.
