Renault launched petrol Duster at Rs 8.49 lakh

Renault India launched petrol variants of the company’s off-road SUV, the Duster, at a starting price of Rs 8.49 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Powered by a 1.5-litre H4K engine the Duster is available with both a five-speed manual transmission and a CVT unit (with a six-speed manual mode option) which is priced at Rs 10.32 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).

Under the hood, the Duster’s 1.5 –litre petrol engine makes 104.5bhp at 5,600rpm and 142Nm of torque at 4,000rpm. Mated to either a five-speed manual transmission or the CVT unit, Renault claims the Duster returns an ARAI certified fuel efficiency of 14.99kmpl.  Apart from the engine, on the outside the Duster gets a new front grille, dual tone body coloured front and rear bumpers, new side and tailgate decals and OVRMs with turn signals finished in black. The Duster also sports a new bright red paint scheme as well. Inside the cabin, the Duster gets new seat fabrics and the centre console is finished in dark chrome.
