Nissan Sunny launched at Rs 7.91 lakh

Nissan India has launched an updated version of its midsize sedan, the Sunny, at a price tag of Rs 7.91 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi).

The 2017 Sunny features a brand new ‘sandstone brown’ paint scheme which is complimented by chrome finished door handles and all-black interiors. The seats are also covered in black fabric to match the all-black interiors.

Under the hood, the Sunny is powered by the same 1.5-litre, petrol engine, which is good for 98bhp at 6000rpm and 134Nm of torque at 4000rpm, coupled to a CVT; and a 1.5-litre, diesel engine, making 85bhp at 3750rpm and 200Nm of torque at 2000rpm mated to a five-speed manual transmission. Nissan is also offering a 2 years/50,000 warranty along with free Road Side Assistance across all Sunny variants.

The 2017 Sunny will go up against the Skoda Rapid, Hyundai Verna, Fiat Linea, Maruti Suzuki Ciaz and the updated Honda City, which is set to make its debut in the Indian market soon.
